Stewardship Commission

As each one of us has received a gift, use it to serve one another as good stewards of God’s varied grace. 1 Peter 4:10

Whole life Stewardship is a way of life that embraces the value of seeing everything as a gift from God. Our response as a disciple of Christ requires us to receive God’s gifts gratefully, cultivate them responsibly, share them lovingly in justice with others and return them with increase to the Lord.

The disciple is motivated by faith and a deep sense of gratitude, flowing from each person’s faith, to a greater sharing of their time, talent and treasure with the Church and other worthy causes. Time, talent and treasure are all shared as a gift, in a purposeful, proportionate, thankful and sacrificial manner.

This commission is responsible for ongoing stewardship education and efforts of the parish. This commission is advisory and in support of the Pastor, and / or his designee(s), which may include but is not limited to the Director of Finance and Stewardship in the design, development, implementation, and evaluation of stewardship programs within the Parish. As appropriate and in support of complete formation the commission often collaborates with and supports Worship, Formation, Parish Life, and Human Concerns to ensure stewardship efforts are consistent and fulfill the parish mission.

Members of the commission should include the Director of Finance and Stewardship, Pastoral Council Liaison, and Standing Committee Chairs as appropriate and available.
