Position Available at Gesu

Gesu Parish, a vibrant Jesuit-sponsored Catholic parish located near downtown Milwaukee and Marquette University seeks an experienced Director of Child & Family Formation. Gesu shares with the Jesuits, Ignatian Spirituality, a mission of lived faith that promotes justice for all.

The Director of Child & Family Formation is responsible for the Christian Formation program for pre-kindergarten through grade 8. This Director collaborates with other program staff at the parish, and works closely with Christian Formation committees to develop and implement religious education programming, sacramental preparation and spiritual development opportunities for the children and families of Gesu. The Director also recruits, trains and supervises catechists.

The Director of Child & Family Formation is a Full-time, 10 month position from August 1st- May 31st.

Ideal candidate will have experience in Christian formation with an Advanced Certification, BA/BS in Theology or Religious Education or Equivalent. Must be a practicing Roman Catholic and have demonstrated ability to provide leadership to parishioners with various aspects of the Christian Formation programs, ability to call forth talents of individuals for the benefit of the program and the ability to relate effectively to children and their parents.
