Additional
free parking is available on the Marquette
University surface lot at 733 N. 12th Street. This is known as Lot F.
Typically, the gates to the lot will be open on weekends. If an
attendant is at the lot entrance, simply tell him or her that you are
going to Gesu. If you are visiting Gesu on a weekday or evening, or if
no attendant is at the gate, then press the button. This button
activates a vid-com system which connects to the 16th Street Structure
Lot attendant booth. This booth is staffed 7 a.m.-10 p.m. Monday
through Thursday, and from 7 a.m.- 12 midnight on Friday and Saturday.
Tell the respondent that you are attending an event at Gesu and if
space is available, you will be permitted access to the lot.
Parking will remain available adjacent to the Parish Center
and church. The entrance to the lot will remain in its present location
on 11th Street between Wisconsin Avenue and Clybourn Street. This
parking will be restricted to Gesu parishioners and visitors. During
the construction period, about half the current spots will be
available. For that reason, we ask anyone who is able to do so to use
the parking structure on 13th and Wells Streets so that the parking
near the Parish Center and Church is available to those who have the
greatest need of it.
If you have questions or suggestions about parking at Gesu
during the construction period, plese let us know. Contact the Parish
Center at (414) 288-7101 or email us at gesuparish@gmail.com.
