The Hospitality Committee gives direction to the social life of the
parish. Our model is Jesus, who gathered and united people by loving,
teaching and feeding.
Through a variety of social and spiritual activities, the committee
seeks to promote an atmosphere in which parishioners can come to know
others or deepen already existing relationships with members of the
worshiping community. Some events the committee has sponsored include
Fish Fries and Potluck
Suppers for
volunteers.
Committee meetings are held monthly, usually on the fourth Tuesday. New
ideas for events are always welcome, and parishioners are needed to
plan and carry out activities. Potential areas of involvement include
publicity, meal preparation/serving, set-up/clean-up, hospitality,
environment, and coordination of volunteers.
The second Sunday of each month is Hospitality Sunday. Everyone is
welcome after the 7:30 and 9:00 a.m. liturgies for coffee
and doughnuts. It's a nice way to get to know those we worship with on
Sunday morning.
