Dear
Parishioners,
On
behalf of your Parish Staff, Parish Council and Jesuit Fathers,
I want to personally thank you for your participation in
the life and ministry of Gesu. Your goodness and witness
to following Jesus in the daily challenges of life continue
to inspire me.
Where
are we as a Jesuit apostolic institution being invited to
proceed "With Eyes Open to the Future" at this
time in our parish history? We want to grow in our identity
as a Jesuit Parish that strives to live and serve in the
spirit of Saint Ignatius of Loyola. We want to be a place
where everyone's talents and gifts are welcomed for service
of God's people. Your involvement - whether it be time,
talent, treasure or prayer - is vitally important to the
mission of the parish.
We
hope you will join us as an envelope contributing member
of the parish. If you choose to do so, your decision as
to the extent of your commitment is yours alone to make.
Our financial goal for 2008 is to increase regular offerings
by 3%. Your offering will help your parish achieve that
goal and, more important, will help Gesu maintain the ministry
it does for our parishioners and our community.
Please
bring your completed commitment form to Mass on Commitment
Weekend, which is November 10 & 11. If you are not able
to be with us that weekend, please mail your form to us
in the enclosed envelope.
We
continue to offer the option of having commitments automatically
deducted from checking or savings accounts. If you are interested
in this option, please complete the enclosed Direct Payment
Authorization Form, attach a voided check, and return both
with your commitment form. If you are already giving electronically
and you would like to make changes to your current giving
level or account information, please complete the enclosed
form.
